How to Add Additional Tools to Hiren's Boot CD

Hiren's Boot CD is a popular tool for troubleshooting and repairing various computer problems. It contains a collection of free utilities that can run from a bootable CD or USB drive. However, sometimes you may need to add some extra tools that are not included in the default Hiren's Boot CD package. Here are the steps to follow:

Download Hiren's Boot CD PE ISO file from https://www.hirensbootcd.org/download/ [^2^]. This is the latest version of Hiren's Boot CD based on Windows 10 PE x64.

Download 7-Zip from http://www.7-zip.org/download.html [^1^] and install it on your computer.

Download YUMI from https://www.pendrivelinux.com/yumi-multiboot-usb-creator/ and run it as administrator.

Insert a USB drive with at least 8 GB of free space and select it from the drop-down menu in YUMI.

Select \"Hiren's Boot CD\" from the list of distributions and browse for the ISO file you downloaded in step 1.

Click \"Create\" and wait for YUMI to copy the files to your USB drive.

Once done, you will see a message saying \"Your USB drive won't boot unless you add a boot loader\". Click \"Yes\" to add Syslinux boot loader to your USB drive.

Now you have a bootable USB drive with Hiren's Boot CD on it. To add additional tools, you need to extract the ISO file using 7-Zip.

Right-click on the ISO file and choose \"7-Zip > Extract to HBCD_PE_x64\\\". This will create a folder with the same name as the ISO file.

Open the folder and navigate to \"HBCD\\Programs\\Files\". This is where you can add your additional tools. For example, if you want to add Ghost32.exe, copy it to this folder.

Once you have added all the tools you want, you need to update the ISO file with the new files. To do this, right-click on the folder \"HBCD_PE_x64\" and choose \"7-Zip > Add to archive\".

Rename the zip file to \"HBCD_PE_x64.iso\". This is your updated ISO file with additional tools.

Go back to YUMI and select your USB drive again. Then select \"Hiren's Boot CD\" from the list of distributions and browse for the updated ISO file you just created.

Click \"Create\" and wait for YUMI to overwrite the existing files on your USB drive with the new ones.

Once done, you can eject your USB drive and use it to boot any computer with Hiren's Boot CD and your additional tools.
